We are thrilled to announce that our September jobs fair will be taking place on the 12th and 13th of September 2019. The fair will take place in the marquee, which is located outside of the shopping centre, opposite Zizzi’s. The closest carpark is The Village carpark.
When walking in the centre, Zizzi’s is situated within The Village area of Bluewater. To find The Village, head towards the middle of the Lower Guildhall, in between John Lewis and House of Fraser. Continue towards The White Company or Neal’s Yard and turn to walk down past the boutique shops (you will also see signs for The Village from the main mall). Continue walking on the right-hand side, past Waterstones and Loch Fyne . Zizzi’s is at the very end, by the exit to the car park. Walk through the exit, and you will see the marquee on the right.
We are expecting lots of job vacancies including Full-time, Part-time and Christmas Temp positions.
The Hospitality and leisure jobs fair is 12th September 10am – 12pm (Last admission)
The retail jobs fair is 13th September 10am – 3.30PM (Last admission)
How You Can Prepare
From now until 12th September, you can look out for our top 5 tips for attending the jobs fair on our social media platforms. We also have a drop-in morning on 9th September for anyone who would like us to look over their CV before the big day to double check it is to a high standard. If you would like to attend this, please arrive at The Learning Shop between 10am – 12pm with your CV either printed or with an electronic copy (in an email or on a pen drive).
You must arrive at the jobs fair in interview clothing and you MUST have lots of your CV’s printed out. If you’re unable to do that before the day we have printers and community computers at The Learning Shop for you to use.
Please note: Last year was a rather hot day and we expect this year to be no different, so please remember to bring water and take this into consideration when choosing an appropriate interview outfit.
Suitable attire would be the following:
• Trousers, Culottes or smart skirts
• A blouse, formal top or shirt
• Suitable, comfortable shoes i.e. closed shoes, heels or all black trainers/sandals.
Please also remember the employers can see you when you’re walking around before you interact with them. The interview starts the second you walk through our marquee door and ends when you leave so do think about how you portray yourself.
